Vision and Mission
Lazy Women is an open platform created by young women to amplify the voices of those identifying with womanhood all over the world.
Our mission is to challenge the negative connotation of laziness and reclaim it by making “public” the many endeavours women around the world pursue, often in the “private sphere”, which are considered less valuable than monetised or public work. We aim to build a community that embraces the diversity of womanhood, and shares insight about lived experiences, political and social issues, successes and life stories, drawing more attention to experiences and issues faced by women.
You can find our articles on the website, listen to our podcast and playlists on Spotify, and check the upcoming events on our Instagram!
Team
Lazy Women is a growing team of writers and creatives, from a wide range of nationalities, disciplinary backgrounds and lived experiences.
Here’re the people behind the newsletter:

Julie
Originally from Russia, based in France.
I am a linguist and translator, trying myself out in creative writing. I read a lot, my favourite book of 2025 so far…is probably Catching the Big Fish: Meditation, Consciousness, and Creativity, an audiobook read by David Lynch himself, a pleasant discovery on Spotify! I do love art exhibitions and museums, in Paris it’s my main activity at the weekends. Lazy Women gives me space for growth and self-expression, plus a chance to connect to so many different women out there <3
Chaharika
Based in India.
Hi! I’m South Asian-born and bred, currently finishing up my last year at University in New Delhi as a history major. I found Lazy Women when I was craving a place to write, a creative outlet that was thoughtful and, dare I say, mindful yet not academic. I am a dedicated Letterboxd member and a fan of just about every cinematic universe. But I also do read! My book of 2024 was Shrayana Bhattacharya’s Desperately Seeking Shah Rukh Khan.
