Behind the Scenes: What's next for Lazy Women?

Our journey at the International Press Institute

Happy Thursday, Lazies!

We hope that you’re enjoying the sunshine (and not boiling too much). We wanted to use this calmer summer period to share with you a little sneak peek behind the Lazy Curtain. Our executive team - Zsofi, Dorina, and Lucie - decided to overcome their shyness (and small technical issues) and come together to give you an update on what we’ve been up to in the past six months and share what’s coming up next (we have some big announcements planned for autumn, so stay tuned!).

As you might have seen, Lazy Women was among 15 European newsrooms selected to participate in the International Press Institute's flagship Transition Accelerator programme. Part of the Media Innovation Europe project, the Accelerator was designed to empower independent newsrooms to innovate and reach financial sustainability. Now that the programme has come to an end, we can safely say that it’s been an extremely intense but life-changing six months and a crucial step for the future of our platform and our community.

And if you’re in a mood for a more conventional podcast conversation, then head to our streaming platforms for our latest episode on nurturing female friendships! We would love to hear your thoughts :)

Lazy Women
Lazy Women Podcast
We have all been called lazy at some point. Laziness is often associated with womanhood: the one traditionally seen as the 'homemaker' occupied with private, invisible tasks who is not out there changing the world. Although the public-private dichotomies have been challenged by feminism, their legacy remains.
We aim to build a community that embraces the diversity of womanhood, and share insight about lived experiences, political and social issues, successes and life stories, drawing more attention to experiences and issues faced by women. You can follow our work here: lazywomen.com/
